Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare care system, providing us with the attention and medical care that we need to live healthy long-lasting lives. Nursing programs are designed to empower students with the ability to address the biggest challenges in the healthcare industry. College of Nursing offers quality educational programs for BSc. Nursing and M. Sc. Nursing. The institute aims at preparing well-disciplined quality nurses who will spread their excellent services to people all over the world. Our department demonstrates excellence in nursing practice and education that embraces equity and culturally effective care to patients, families, and communities. The college is equipped with qualified and competent faculties, good physical infrastructure, a library, and a parent teaching hospital for clinical posting.

College of Nursing aims at “all-round development of the student who would take up leadership roles at all levels of health care Programme.” The mission of the College of Nursing is consistent with that of the institute, which is "to develop not only as a Centre of excellence but also to build a quality pattern of education for undergraduate and postgraduate students with high standards. The College of Nursing’s vision is to educate nurses who are imbued with a sense of compassion for the sick and a dedication to assisting the poor. The College of Nursing actively collaborate with various department of the institute to deliver evidence-based education focused on serving the individual, family, and community, as well as grooming students to be clinically competent nurses.

The All India institute of medical sciences, Patna College of Nursing has a magnificent infrastructure that makes students learn in a favourable atmosphere. The college building is, a three-storied building with the principal office, faculty rooms, and adequate lecture halls with spacious, well ventilated with comfortable seating arrangements equipped with traditional & modern teaching aids like a blackboard, LCD projectors and well-equipped laboratories offering the best learning facilities to develop the clinical competencies with advanced technology mannequins and a departmental library in the college is also available for students and staff for quick reference and usage. The college is attached to the central library in the medical college building. Students and faculty have access to both departmental and central libraries.

1) Clinical : Based on the High touch-high tech approach students are posted in all speciality areas and community health centres.
2) Non-clinical : In accordance with the B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing curricula, respectively.
3) Community services/Outreach programs-- ‘Reaching the unreached”, Students actively participate in School health programmes and community awareness campaigns.
4) Teaching & Training:The College of Nursing offers B.Sc (H) Nursing and M.Sc(Nursing). The College of Nursing at AIIMS Patna opened up in July 2013 with an annual intake of 60 students. Six batches of undergraduate students have successfully completed their studies, which included a six-month internship. However, the annual intake for the B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing programme has now been extended to 75 students per year beginning with the 2020 session. In the year 2020, Subsequently, the College of Nursing began offering M.Sc. Nursing programme with a total annual intake of 12 students in three distinct specialities, namely Community Health Nursing (04 seats), Paediatric Nursing (04 seats), and Psychiatric Nursing (04 seats), from the July 2020 academic session onwards.
