Introduction

Neurology is the branch of medicine that is concerned with the nervous system, i.e. the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. The Department of Neurology at AIIMS Patna endeavours to provide world class services to the people of the region. It aims to become a leading center for training and research in the field in near future.

Infrastructure

Outpatient Department (OPD) with a footfall of more than a hundred on each OPD day.
Inpatient Department (IPD) with twelve beds currently (to be expanded soon)
Neurology lab with facilities for nerve conduction studies (NCV), electroencephalogram (EEG) and visual evoked potential (VEP) etc.
Departmental library and seminar room

Teaching and Training:

The department runs regular teachings for its residents, nurses and technicians. DM course in Neurology is proposed to be started soon.
